Supernatural

The project originated from Kripke's idea of a cross-country road trip and was approved by Warner Bros. It ran for four showrunner periods: Kripke (seasons 1–5), Sera Gamble (seasons 6–7), Jeremy Carver (seasons 8–11), and the duo of Andrew Dabb and Robert Singer (seasons 12–15). The writing is based on a monster-of-the-week concept and incorporates brotherly codependency, Americana, family psychology, Judeo-Christian mythology, and self-referential humor. Production was based in Vancouver, British Columbia, with chiaroscuro cinematography by Serge Ladouceur and an in-house visual effects department to save on costs. The soundtrack combines original music by Jay Gruska and Christopher Lennertz with classic rock songs, including "Carry On Wayward Son" by Kansas.
