Privacy
You can use CineSpool without an account. An account is only needed to rate films and shows, and we keep as little as we can.
What we keep
- Your email address, so you can sign in. If you continue with Google, Google tells us your email address and name, and nothing else.
- Your ratings: which films and shows you rated, how many stars, and when.
- Your watchlist: the films and shows you’ve saved for later, and any you mark as watched without rating. Only you can see these. If you use “Make it yours”, we also keep the first half of your postcode (for example SL1, never the full postcode) and which streaming services you have, so we can show cinemas near you and put your services first.
- Cookies that make the site work: one keeps you signed in, and one remembers your postcode (if you enter one) so we can show cinema times near you. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.
- On this device only: your light or dark choice and recent searches. These never leave your browser.
What we do with it
Your stars count towards each title’s UK Viewers’ Rating, which only ever shows an average and the number of ratings. Nobody else can see who rated what. We never sell your details or use them for marketing.
To keep the rating fair, it’s open to viewers in the UK, so when you rate we check which country your connection is coming from. We don’t store that.
Who looks after it
Accounts and ratings are stored by Supabase and the site is run on Vercel; Google handles sign-in if you choose it. They process the data only to provide those services.
Your choices
You can see your watchlist and everything you’ve rated on your You page, change or remove any rating, and delete your account there at any time. Deleting your account removes your email, your watchlist, your watched list, your area and services, and all your ratings straight away.
